Candle Light Dinner - Mutton Kebab/Lamb Kebab/ Greek style Souvlakia


Ingredients

Extra Virgin Olive/Corn/Vegetable Oil - 1 cup
Fresh Lemon/Orange Juice - 1/4 cup
Grated lemon/Orange - 1 big size lemon/Orange
Sea Salt - 1 1/2 ts
Pepper Powder - 1 ts
Boneless Goat/Mutton/Lamb Leg - 1
Wooden Skewers - 15 Big

Veggies

Green Bell Pepper - 1 no
Orange Bell Pepper - 1 no
Red Bell Pepper - 1 no
Tomatoes - 2 nos
Big Onion - 1 no

Method

1. Get a good Boneless Goat/Lamb leg and cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes.

2. In a big bowl add Oil,Lemon/Orange juice,Grated Peel of Lemon/Orange,salt, pepper and give a stir now add the mutton pieces in this and stir it so that the mixture is well coated in the mutton, cover the bowl with a aluminum foil and keep in the refrigerator for whole night or for minimum 8 hours. For 2 to 3 times give a stir in between so that the mixture gets into the mutton.

3. If you are ready to cook soak the wooden skewers in cold water for a 30mins to 1 hour else the skewer may burn/broke while cooking.

4. Now take a skewer and arrange the Mutton alternatively with a veggies and apply the remaining marination mixture on the skewers.

5. Preheat the Grill for 5mins in 350F and place the skewers and cook for 10 to 15 mins, in between turn the skewers and apply the marination mixture for every 5 mins and check whether the mutton is done.







6. Once done take out and serve with Orange Rice, Nan, Cucumber Raita.
